A Closer Look at theLotter

If you’ve been looking for a site that focuses on humongous payouts, you’ve been looking for theLotter. theLotter is a site that solely focuses on making different lotteries around the world available for anyone over the age of eighteen. If you’re in South East Asia, you now have the ability to take part in the U.S. Powerball lottery that routinely hits jackpots of close to a billion dollars. That kind of money is life-changing, but it’s not the only multi-million jackpot available, but we’ll get more into that later.
If you’re worried about safety and security, theLotter has been around since 2002 and is a fully regulated site registered and licensed in Malta. It’s trusted by thousands of players every day for different lotteries, raffles, and online virtual scratchcards. They essentially serve as a trusted middleman for your lottery tickets and facilitate purchases. With that said, let’s take a deeper look at exactly how theLotter works, what they have to offer, and all the other things that make them a two-decade-old trusted online lottery site.
theLotter Games and Lotteries

It should really be no surprise that a site with the name “theLotter” is focused on lotteries, raffles, and other large games of chance. When you first head over to their site, you’ll see three tabs at the top of the screen that separates out the three different sections of the site. theLotter offers lotteries from around the world, virtual scratch tickets, and lottery raffles, which vary slightly from regular lotteries. This tab clearly lists all the different lotteries from around the world that you can participate in. We’ve broken them down by continent and country to make it easier to find any one specific lottery you might be interested in. At the time of our review, there were a total of sixty-one different lotteries available from twenty different countries across all six inhabited continents.
The way it works is that you select which tickets you would like to purchase; theLotter then buys those tickets for you via their offices located all over the world. They give you a virtual ticket online that is a facsimile of the actual physical ticket. If you win, they deposit your winnings right into your account. Larger prizes may be susceptible to taxes or even have to be claimed in person. If you win a jackpot, there might be some additional steps to get it.
Collecting Large Jackpots
You should read the terms and conditions of each lottery before you decide to buy a ticket. Some lotteries require you to come in person and claim the prize– especially for large jackpots. Imagine the horror if you won the American Mega Millions but couldn’t go to the United States to claim it! Trust us, you want to actually have those millions of dollars in your bank account; you don’t want just to be able to say you won millions of dollars.
Depending on the lottery, theLotter may even fly you out at their own expense to claim the prize, but they have no say when it comes to visa and border control. When in doubt, contact their customer support through live chat if you have any questions about claiming prizes. They’ll be more than happy to explain each individual lottery’s rules regarding jackpots and large prizes.
Scratchcards

If you’d rather not wait hours or days for a live drawing, you can always try your hand at scratchcards. theLotter offers thirty-five different scratchcards, with the largest paying out up to $500,000. You can even sort the different scratchers by cost, new, popular, most played, and the highest paying ones.
There are a lot of things we liked about this part of the site. Probably the biggest thing we liked is that they’re upfront with the average return to players and the odds of winning any prize. You can also easily view the paytable for each card on the page. The other thing we like is that each scratchcard has a demo version where you can play endlessly using fake money. “Try before you buy” is something that is always appreciated.
Raffles

Raffles are similar to lotteries but slightly different. They operate on the same system where you pick a number, and if it matches the number drawn, you win the jackpot, but there are additional prizes for things like having the winning number +/- 1 and more. At the time of our review, there were only two raffles going on from Spain, so it’s not insanely popular, but it is still something you should take a look at if you’re interested in playing more games of chance.
Bonuses and Promotions

Brace yourself because the bonuses and promotions at The Lotto probably aren’t what you’re used to if you’re a veteran player of online casinos. Since these lotteries are run by the state, it makes sense that a middleman like theLotter isn’t offering crazy incentives and bonuses. That said, they still have some offers you can take advantage of if you do plan on purchasing some tickets. Here’s a quick summary of what they had available at the time of our review.
Note: There are no VIP or referral programs available at theLotter.

Deposits & Withdrawals

At theLotter, you can deposit funds via credit/debit cards and select eWallets. Unfortunately, there is currently no option to deposit funds using cryptocurrencies or bank accounts. Once you’ve struck it big and want to cash out, you’ll have to use the same method to withdraw your winnings as you did to deposit. This means if you used a debit card to load your account, you’d have to withdraw your winnings to the same debit card.
There is the option to withdraw your funds using through wire transfer, but you’ll have to contact customer support first to try and set that up. They’ll only approve the transfer if the amount you’ve won is larger than the amount you initially deposited.
Payment Method | Options Available For Deposits and Withdrawals |
---|---|
Debit Cards | Visa, MasterCard |
eWallets | Skrill, Neteller |
Payment Method | Withdraw Only |

Banking | Contact their Customer Service team to withdraw funds via wire transfer |
Customer Support
There are two main forms of customer support at theLotter. You can either use the preferred method of 24/7 Live Chat or contact them using the form on their Contact Us page. If you’re not getting the response you wanted, you can request a phone call, but it probably won’t come to that.
As with all sites, we tested their 24/7 Live Chat, and we’re pretty happy with the quality of the customer service we received. While the chat said it might take ten minutes to connect to an agent, it only ended up taking a few seconds. We had an answer to our questions in less than two minutes and felt that the representative was very knowledgeable about the site.
Licensing and Security
theLotter is upfront with their business operations. They have a whole FAQ page that details how they handle deposits, withdrawals, payouts, and more. They even list their credentials at the bottom of every page. They’re a registered business in Malta and fully licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority.
The Malta Gaming Authority is the gaming control board of Malta, a small nation in Europe. This regulatory authority oversees all local and online-based gambling businesses and ensures fairness, transparency, and security. You can easily verify theLotter’s license by using the Malta Gaming Authority’s license registry here. It definitely gives players peace of mind to play at a site that is so easily verifiable.

Wrap-Up
theLotter is a great way to play different lotteries from around the world from the comfort of your own home, without even residing in the country of the lottery. They offer sixty-one different lotteries, thirty-five different scratchcards, and a bunch of different raffles. While there aren’t a lot of ongoing bonuses and promotions or even a VIP program, this site is focused on real lotteries around the world and isn’t an online casino like you might be used to. They do have excellent customer service, and the ability to withdraw large winnings directly to a bank account is nice. Overall, theLotter is a decent site for anyone looking to casually play large lotteries from around the world and potentially strike it big with a jackpot.
